Will the Orioles win 83 games in 2015?
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) – After winning 96 games a year ago, will the Baltimore Orioles even win 90 games in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Orioles have an over/under of 82.5 for number of regular season wins in 2015. They’re also 28/1 long shots to win this season’s World Series and are 14/1 to win the AL Pennant in 2015.
The Orioles were relatively quiet this past winter and now have plenty of questions of how they’ll replace key contributors from 2014, including Nelson Cruz, Nick Markakis and Andrew Miller. This club has questions in the starting rotation and bullpen, at corner outfield, designated hitter and at the leadoff spot.
Another interesting storyline for this team heading into spring training centers on the health of Manny Machado, who suffered yet another knee injury toward the end of last season. He’s on track to start Opening Day but the Orioles will need Machado to avoid setbacks so that he can be a rock in the middle of the lineup.
