2011 NFL Week 10 Odds: Jaguars vs. Colts Spread & Trends

Jaguars vs. Colts NFL Week 10 Odds

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – Struggling AFC South rivals meet in Indianapolis on Sunday when the Colts host the Jaguars at 1:00PM ET.

JACKSONVILLE: Following their upset win over the Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 7, the Jaguars were soundly beaten by the Texans, 24-14 in Week 8. Jacksonville’s offense continues to struggle with rookie Blaine Gabbert under center, although the defense has kept the Jaguars in most games this season. While not mathematically out, at 2-6 the Jaguars are playing for the future and hoping that Gabbert will make strides throughout the season. He has a great opportunity to post a break out game against Indianapolis’ soft defense.

INDIANAPOLIS: Many people thought the Colts would be an average team without Peyton Manning under center, but they were wrong. They’re a complete disaster. They’ve now lost nine in a row to start the year and are on a collision course with the No. 1 overall pick in April. In their latest loss, the Falcons blasted Indy 31-7, as the Colt offense didn’t muster a single point (their lone score was the product of an interception returned for a touchdown). Curtis Painter continues to struggle at quarterback, although coach Jim Caldwell says that his inexperienced signal caller will continue to start. After all, whom else is Caldwell going to play?

The over is also 6-1 in the last seven meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the Colts’ last five games versus the AFC.
