(The Spread) – Only four teams are in action this week in the CFL. Check out the point spreads and over/under totals for Week 8.
In this week’s Toilet Bowl, the 1-6 Toronto Argonauts will host the 1-6 Saskatchewan Roughriders at 7:30PM ET. Oddsmakers have installed Toronto as a 2.5-point favorite over Sakatchewan, while the over/under total is currently 54 points.
The Roughriders are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games versus Toronto, while the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams. The Arognauts are 0-6 against the number in their last six home games, while the Roughriders are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. So something has to give.
Unfortunately for CFL fans, the only other Week 8 matchup may not be good either. The Edmonton Eskimos are currently 6-point favorites over the 1-6 BC Lions, while the over/under total is listed at 50.5 points. This matchup will be played in Edmonton at 9:00PM ET on Friday night.
According to latest CFL trends, the over is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings between the Eskimos and Lions, and 5-2 in the last seven meetings when the game is played in Edmonton. The Lions are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Eskimos.
