Reds 2011 MLB Betting Odds
(The Spread) – A year after making a surprise run, the Cincinnati Reds not only look to win their division this year, but go deeper into the postseason.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Reds +220 on the money line to win the NL Central again this year. Their odds to win the 2011 World Series is +2500 and they also have an over/under win total of 85.5 games this season.
Offseason Additions: The club re-signed Bronson Arroyo and Ramon Hernandez while also inking 2010 World Series MVP Edgar Renteria and his former Giants teammate Fred Lewis to free agent contracts. Miguel Cairo was also given a two-year deal and Jonny Gomes re-upped for one season.
Offseason Losses: The Reds parted ways with former starter Aaron Harang and shortstop Orlando Cabrera. Laynce Nix, Arthur Rhodes, Micah Owings and Mike Lincoln were also not retained.
Season Outlook: With the Cardinals suffering a huge blow by losing starter Adam Wainwright for the season, it’s hard not to like the Reds’ chances to repeat in 2011. They’ll receive stiff competition from the Brewers, but Cincinnati certainly has everything in place to make another run. Barring any injuries to star Joey Votto or key starters Brandon Phillips, Jay Bruce, Johnny Cueto or Edinson Volquez, the Reds should be competitive all year. If they do win the division, do they have enough to match up with the likes of the Phillies? That’s a whole new discussion, although anything can happen in a five or seven game series.
