DENVER (AP) -St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina left the Cardinals’ game against the Colorado Rockies in the fourth inning Tuesday night with a bruised left wrist after being hit by a foul ball an inning earlier.
Outfielder Scott Spiezio also left in the fourth after feeling ill.
Molina was hit by a foul tip from Todd Helton. Molina came out for the fourth, but trainers were summoned after Braden Looper walked the first two batters of the inning.
Molina, who was 0-for-1, was replaced by Gary Bennett.
Spiezio was replaced by Juan Encarnacion. Spiezio was 0-for-2.
