TORONTO (AP) -Blue Jays third baseman Troy Glaus was a late scratch from Tuesday’s game against the New York Yankees because of a tight hamstring.
Glaus landed on the disabled list in April because of a sore left heel caused by a bone spur, then sat out again for a few days earlier this month with a recurrence of the same injury.
An All-Star in 2006, Glaus is batting .278 with eight home runs and 24 RBIs in 33 games this season, his second with Toronto.
He was replaced by John McDonald.
