ST. LOUIS (AP) -The Cardinals and Chicago Cubs set a makeup date Friday for the April 29 game that was postponed hours after St. Louis reliever Josh Hancock’s fatal accident.
The game was rescheduled as the opener of a day-night doubleheader on Sept. 14. Tickets from the April 29 game will be valid for the day game only.
The game was reset a day after Hancock’s father filed suit, claiming a restaurant provided drinks to his 29-year-old son even though he was intoxicated prior to the crash that killed him.
