Mark Richt went just 8-5 last season but is back for his 10th year at

Georgia
. 2009 was the first time

Georgia
had failed to win at least 10 games since 2006.

Still, despite the issues,

Georgia
looks to have a solid team coming back, highlighted by an offense that returns 10 starters.

The lone new face on the offense is in a key spot though, as redshirt freshman Aaron Murray is expected to take over at quarterback for the graduating Joe Cox. This is the second-straight season

Georgia
has had to replace its quarterback. Junior Logan Gray made 12 pass attempts a year ago and is the lone quarterback on the roster with experience.

The entire offensive line is back for

Georgia
as our leading rushers Washaun Ealey and Caleb King along with leading receiver A.J. Green.

On defense, the Bulldogs return five starters from a group that allowed just 339 yards of offense per-game. Three of four starting linebackers are back, led by Justin Houston, who has 7.5 sacks last season.

In the secondary, Brandon Boykin is the lone returning starter at cornerback. Boykin had three interceptions and 54 tackles for

Georgia
in 2009. On the defensive line, DeMarcus Dobbs is the lone returning starter. Dobbs had 4.5 sacks at defensive end last season.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com currently list

Georgia
at 33/1 to win the 2011 BCS National Championship. The Bulldogs are also 15/2 to win the SEC and 5/2 to win the SEC East.

Georgia has a manageable conference schedule this season as it hosts
Arkansas and
Tennessee while facing
Florida in

Jacksonville
. The road schedule isn’t too difficult with trips to
South Carolina,
Mississippi State,
Colorado,
Kentucky, and

Auburn
. The biggest challenge for

Georgia
will be playing 11-straight weeks without a bye to open the season. If the Bulldogs can stay healthy and get past rival

Florida
, there is no reason it can’t contend to win the national title. Quarterback play will be key, but the running game should carry the team early in the season.
