Biathlon Men’s Ind. Odds
The longest running biathlon event of the Winter Olympics is the Men’s 20 Kilometer Individual Race, and the odds are out for which competitor will win the gold in this event.
In this event, the 20-kilometer race is skied over five laps. The biathlete shoots four times at any shooting lane following each lap in the order of prone, standing, prone, standing, totaling 20 targets. For each missed target a fixed penalty time of one minute is added to the skiing time of the biathlete. Competitors’ starts are staggered, normally by 30 seconds. The gold medal winner is the individual with the best overall time.

Svendsen enters the Olympics with odds of 2/1 according to online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (4/1), Christoph Sumann (9/1), and Michael Greis (10/1).
