Dennis Green Favored to be The Next NFL Coach to Lose His Job

We’re only seven weeks into the NFL season and already the contenders have begun to separate themselves from the pretenders. Several head coaches are already starting to feel the heat as their teams are failing to meet pre-season expectations. With a number of teams off to a slow start, today announced updated odds on which current NFL coach will be the first to lose his job.

The largest sports betting site on the Internet, has created individual odds on 12 NFL head coaches becoming the first coaching casualty this season. After following up a choke job of historic proportions on Monday Night versus Chicago, with a loss last Sunday to the lowly Raiders, it’s no surprise that Arizona’s Dennis Green is the odds-on favorite to become the first coach to get his walking papers at 1/1 odds (i.e., win $1 for every $1 bet).

2006 Breeder's Cup Betting Information

Jack Schneider visualizes just one manner in which Bernardini can be beaten in next month's $5 million Breeders Cup Classic -- barring stumbling on a stable rock, getting stuck in the gate or being abducted by aliens.

"The only way it could happen is if Bernardini and Lava Man get into a dog-dirt duel and are so into watching each other and not looking behind them, someone else bolts by both in the end," the Sam's Town Race Book manager said.

That kind of scenario would throw balloting for Horse of the Year into a tizzy (no relation to two-time Classic winner Tiznow).

LeRoy's Money Talks Handicapping Tournament

16 handicappers shall participate in this 15 week Tournament, fashioned along the lines of the Stardust Invitational which ran for 11 years. However, unlike the Stardust Tournament, each of the 16 participants in the Money Talks contest has put up $ 5,000.oo for a total of $ 80,000.oo in the prize pool. LeRoys has added $ 20,000.oo to make the total prize pool $ 100,000.oo of which $ 80,000.oo will go to the ultimate winner and $ 20,000.oo will go to the runner up.

Each week two contestants are matched against each other in a head to head meeting with each handicapper making 7 selections against the LeRoys pointspread that exists shortly before air time. The 7 selections are rated, effectively, from 1 to 7 in that each contestant will risk a mythical 110 to win 100 on his weakest selection, increasing in 110/100 increments to the Best Bet which risks 770 to win 700.

All bettors want the quick, easy win, but any long-term success can be attributed to only one thing — hours of research and study. This poses a problem for weekend warriors who don’t have the time to dedicate 40+ hours per week analyzing lines and shopping for value. A potential solution to this predicament for recreational bettors, that offers a realistic chance for finding winners without quitting their day jobs, can be found at online sports betting forums.

One of the quickest ways to learn, without the time-consuming study, is to watch and converse with proven winning handicappers in these gambling discussion areas.
