Key Trend: The Jets are just 2-6-1 against the spread in their last nine games when playing Denver. The total has also gone under in five of the Jets’ last six games when playing the Broncos.

Key Stat: The Broncos are averaging a staggering 272.9 passing yards per game, while the Jets are allowing 239.4 yards per game through the air.

Game Outlook: There’s no doubt we think the Jets will win. Denver might be in first place, but they would be no better than a third place team in a better division (such as the AFC East). But the Jets’ defense has played a bit over their heads over the past month and are due for a letdown. The Broncos looked horrible last week against the pitiful Raiders, so expect Mike Shanahan to have his team more prepared this week. We don’t expect Denver to win, but we like the way Jay Cutler has kept his team in games and since they’ll probably be behind Brett Favre and the Jets, we expect a shootout. So buck the under trend in this matchup and go with the over because this game has 60 points written all over it.
