Following two straight defeats to start the tournament, the Dutch must beat Portugal today by two clear goals and hope that Germany knocks off Denmark in order to escape Group B. If not, the Dutch will suffer a humiliating early exit from Euro 2012.
Oddsmakers currently list the Portugal-Netherlands matchup as a pick’em, with the Dutch carrying juice of –130. (Portugal has EVEN juice.) Netherlands, meanwhile, is +150 on the money line while Portugal is +175 and the current over/under is sitting at 2.5 goals. A wager on the draw has odds of +250 and the match is set for 2:45PM ET.

In Sunday’s other match, Denmark is +1 (-175) against Germany (+135). The Germans are –160 on the money line while Denmark is +525 on the ML and the over/under is currently sitting at 2.5 goals. A wager on a draw nets bettors +260 odds and the game time is the same as Portugal-Netherlands – 2:45PM ET.
Germany opened Euro 2012 with 3/1 odds to win the entire tournament. Only Spain, who opened as 11/4 favorites to win Euro 2012, had better odds. Denmark, meanwhile, was a 40/1 long shot.
Denmark pulled off a surprise victory against the Dutch (1-0) and one player to keep an eye on is Nicklas Bendtner, who is the favorite at 17/2 odds to score the first goal in this matchup. On the other side, Mario Gomez is the star of Germany and has 4/1 odds to score the first goal in today’s matchup.
