BOSTON (AP) -Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron, who hasn’t played since suffering a concussion on Dec. 20, was placed on injured reserve Wednesday and will miss at least another week.
Bergeron, who missed most of last season with a concussion, spent a night in the hospital after a collision with Carolina’s Dennis Seidenberg. He remained on the ice for several minutes before being helped to the locker room.
Bergeron has four goals and 14 assists in 31 games this season.
The Bruins, who have won nine straight, sent forward Martin St. Pierre to their AHL affiliate in Providence, R.I. St. Pierre had a goal and an assist in five games.
