 COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Blue Jackets on Wednesday put center Jiri Novotny on injured reserve after he suffered a concussion against Minnesota.
Novotny was injured when he collided with the Wild's Aaron Voros as Voros left the penalty box late in Friday's game.
He has four goals and six assists this season.
The Blue Jackets recalled defenseman Marc Methot from Columbus' top minor league team in Syracuse, N.Y., and added goaltender Tomas Popperle to the roster.
Methot has two goals and an assist in 20 games with the Crunch this season. Popperle is 5-8 with a 3.30 goals-against average for Syracuse.
