EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) Goalie Anders Lindback has agreed to a professional tryout contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
Lindback was added to the roster of the Kings’ AHL affiliate in Ontario on Wednesday.
The veteran Swede went 5-7-1 with a 3.11 goals-against average last season for Arizona, his fifth NHL team in six seasons.
Lindback also played for Nashville, Tampa Bay, Dallas and Buffalo over 130 NHL appearances. He went to camp with New Jersey last month.
The Kings need goaltending depth after Jonathan Quick and Jeff Zatkoff both went down with groin injuries. Peter Budaj has won three straight games since coming up from the AHL along with Jack Campbell.
Last weekend, Ontario used Jonah Imoo as its starter and his father, 46-year-old goaltending coach Dusty Imoo, as his backup.
