DALLAS (AP) -Assistant coach Charlie Huddy is leaving Edmonton to join the staff of new Dallas Stars head coach Marc Crawford.
The Stars announced Huddy’s hiring Tuesday.
Huddy spent the past nine seasons as an Oilers assistant, following two years with the Rangers.
During his 17-year playing career, Huddy was one of seven players who skated in all five of the Oilers’ Stanley Cup championships between 1984 and 1990. He also played for Los Angeles, St. Louis and Buffalo.
