ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -The Washington Capitals signed free agent forward Joe Motzko to a two-year contract on Tuesday.
Motzko, 27, was a member of the 2007 Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks after being traded in January by Columbus. He played in three playoff games for Anaheim, including one game in the finals.
Motzko has recorded one career NHL point, a goal against Chicago on Jan. 16.
