LOS ANGELES (AP) -Defenseman Jaroslav Modry and left wing Jeff Giuliano re-signed with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, agreeing to one-year contracts.
The 36-year-old Modry split last season between the Dallas Stars and the Kings, playing in 76 games and getting one goal and 17 assists. He came to Los Angeles in a trade from Dallas on Feb. 27.
Modry first played for the Kings from 1995-2004, and ranks 10th on the franchise’s all-time scoring list among defensemen with 158 points. He has also played for Atlanta, Ottawa and New Jersey.
The 28-year-old Giuliano had four goals and 10 assists in 35 games for the Kings’ Manchester farm club in the AHL last season. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 5, 2005, and has three goals and four assists in 48 NHL games – all with Los Angeles.
