SNAPPED Ottawa's 2-0 victory over New Jersey on Monday night ended five-game point streaks by Brian Gionta and Scott Gomez. The Senators lead the Eastern Conference semifinal series 2-1 with Game 4 Wednesday. CLUTCH Jonathan Cheechoo scored a power-play goal with 6:21 to play as San Jose came from behind for a 2-1 victory over Detroit on Monday night, giving the Sharks a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinal series. LONGEVITY Detroit's Chris Chelios participated in his 237th playoff game, passing Mark Messier for second place in NHL history. Patrick Roy played in 247 postseason contests. NOT SO SPECIAL Vancouver is just 4-for-58 (6.9 percent) on the power play this postseason, the worst among active playoff teams. ... San Jose's power play dropped to 4-for-42 in the postseason after going 1-for-5 in a 2-1 victory over Detroit on Monday night.
