WASHINGTON (AP) -Washington Capitals players say their visits to a chiropractor arrested on steroids-related charges were nothing more than routine treatments.
Matt Bradley, Shaone (SHAWN) Morrisonn and Eric Fehr (FAYR) spoke Wednesday about their interviews with law enforcement authorities. Investigators went to the Capitals practice facility Tuesday after arresting Douglas Nagel, who has treated all three players.
In interviews posted on The Washington Post Web site, Morrisonn says he had not been offered steroids by Nagel. Bradley says the players have “been there for treatment and that’s it, that’s as far as it goes.”
The Florida sheriff leading the investigation, Grady Judd, says he doesn’t have “any conclusive proof” that Nagel was supplying steroids to athletes.
