DETROIT (AP) -The Red Wings activated defenseman Niklas Kronwall from the injured list on Thursday and assigned defenseman Kyle Quincey to Grand Rapids (AHL).
Kronwall missed 13 games after injuring his collarbone Jan. 30 against Phoenix. In 48 games this season, he has five goals, 20 assists and a plus-16 rating.
Kronwall is expected to be back in the lineup Friday night when Detroit faces the San Jose Sharks at home.
