DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Avalanche and Peter Forsberg have agreed on a contract through the end of this season.
The 34-year-old has been struggling with a foot and ankle injury.
Forsberg played nine seasons with Avalanche and helped the team win two Stanley Cups. He won the Hart Trophy and appeared in seven All Star games.
He is fourth on Colorado's career scoring list with 741 points in 580 career games.
