(The Spread) – The Los Angeles Kings might still be celebrating their NHL championship but they already find themselves as underdogs to win the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.

Oddsmakers have installed the Pittsburgh Penguins as 7/1 favorites to win next year’s Cup, while the defending champion Kings are 11/1. The St. Louis Blues, a team that the Kings swept in the second round in 2012, are 12/1, as are the Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers, respectively.

The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins are 14/1 to win the 2013 Stanley Cup, respectively, while the Nashville Predators are 18/1. The San Jose Sharks are 22/1, the Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres are 25/1, respectively, and the 2012 runner-up New Jersey Devils are a rather shocking 30/1 to win next year’s Cup.

Continuing with the odds, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers are 35/1 to win the 2013 Stanley Cup, respectively, while the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Ottawa Senators, Phoenix Coyotes and Winnipeg Jets are all 40/1, respectively. The Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes are 50/1, respectively.

Taking a look at the long shots for next year, the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens are 60/1 to win next year’s Cup, while the Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and New York Islanders are all 75/1, respectively.
