Carolina Hurricanes DFS Spin
Alex Nedeljkovic allowed two goals on 25 shots during Tuesday’s 3-2 OT win over the Nashville Predators in Game 5. Nedeljkovic made some important saves when his team was down 2-1 in the third period and it allowed them to get the game-tying goal from Martin Necas midway through the final frame. Jordan Staal added the game-winner for the Hurricanes in overtime. Nedeljkovic has had some ups and downs during this series, but he’s been solid for the most part. The 25-year-old now has a 3-2 record with a 2.10 goals-against-average and a .927 save percentage in this series. The Hurricanes can punch their ticket to the second round with a win on Thursday night.
Nashville Predators DFS Spin
Juuse Saros allowed three goals on 37 shots during Tuesday’s 3-2 OT loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Predators grabbed a 2-1 lead and they were (barely) able to hang on to it until the midway point of the third frame. Carolina should’ve tied the game earlier, but Jordan Staal’s game-tying goal was called back because Warren Foegele apparently interfered with Saros before the goal went in (the decision was questionable at best). In the end, Staal got the last laugh because he scored the game-winner in OT. Saros has a 2-3 record with a 2.59 goals-against-average and a .928 save percentage this postseason. The Predators will be facing elimination on home ice on Thursday night.
