(TheSpread) – The Los Angeles Kings begin their defense of the Stanley Cup starting on Tuesday with their playoff series with the St. Louis Blues. Here is a look at the odds for this series.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, both teams come into this series with even odds to win, as each team has been given a money line of -110 to best the other. St. Louis has the home-ice advantage in the series, as the Blues are the fourth seed in the Western Conference, while the Kings are the fifth seed.

St. Louis went 29-17-2 overall this season and was 158-1 at home and 14-9-1 on the road. Los Angeles went 27-16-5 this season and was 19-4-1 at home and 8-12-4 on the road. These two teams met three times during the regular season, and the Kings won each game by at least two goals. The Kings also swept the Blues in last year’s playoffs and Los Angeles has won eight straight over St. Louis. Seven of those eight wins were decided by at least two goals.
