Penguins, Red Wings meet tonight
PITTSBURGH, PA (TheSpread) – Two Eastern Conference rivals meet up tonight on the ice as the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Detroit Red Wings at 8PM ET.
Pittsburgh is 30-15-8 on the season and 17-8-3 at home while Detroit is 31-12-9 overall and 14-8-3 on the road. The home team has won three straight in this series, with each of the three games at least going to OT. These have met once this year, with the Red Wings getting a 4-3 OT victory. These two have hit the over in their last three meetings as well.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Penguins are the favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -145 to win. Detroit has been given a money line of +125 to win this game, while the over/under total has been set at 5.5 goals.
Detroit has won three straight and nine of its last 10, including a 5-1 mark on the road in this current streak. Detroit has hit the under in their last three games as well. Pittsburgh is coming off a 5-0 loss to Vancouver and the Penguins are just 1-3 in their last four home games. The Pens have pushed or hit the under in eight of their last nine games.
