The featured game of the day has the New Jersey Devils hosting the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:30PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Devils are the favorite at home, as they have a money line of -120 to win, while the Flyers have odds of +100. The over/under total for the game has been set at 5.5 goals. The Flyers are 0-2 on the season and 0-1 on the road while the Devils are 1-0 overall and playing in their first home game. The Devils have won their last four meetings with the Flyers.

The other featured game on the day has the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the St. Louis Blues at 8:30PM ET (View Matchup). According to oddsmakers, the Blackhawks are the favorite to win this game, as they have a money line of -125 at home, while the Blues have odds of +105 to win on the road. The over/under total has been set at 5.5 goals. Both teams come into this game at 2-0 overall. St. Louis is 1-0 on the road while Chicago is playing in its home opener. Chicago has won four of the last five in this series with the last two wins coming in a shootout.
