INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Peyton Manning is headed into what could be the most historic day of his NFL career.
By taking the first snap against Tennessee, Manning will break Gene Upshaw’s league record for most consecutive starts to open a career. By beating the Titans, the Colts would tie Dallas’ NFL record with a ninth straight playoff appearance.
If Manning tops 300 yards, he would break Dan Marino’s career mark of 63 300-yard games. And if he throws three TD passes, Manning would join Marino and Brett Favre as the only members of the 400-TD pass club.
