INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Colts now are running the ball successfully, just in time for their playoff push.
The Colts have ranked near the bottom of the league in rushing all season, but they ran for 191 yards in a 31-26 win at Oakland that puts them one win away from clinching the AFC South title. Indianapolis will host Tennessee on Sunday.
Dominic Rhodes, a recent pickup from the UFL, ran for 98 yards against the Raiders. Joseph Addai ran for 45 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries after missing eight games with a nerve injury in his left shoulder. Donald Brown, who had a career-high 129 yards the previous week against Jacksonville, added 28 yards on six carries as part of Indy’s season-high rushing effort against Oakland.
