DENVER (AP) – Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey has left Sunday’s game against Houston with a right ankle injury.
His return was listed as questionable.
The perennial Pro Bowler threw down his helmet shortly after a collision with Texans tight end Owen Daniels midway through the third quarter and then hobbled to the sideline.
Bailey attempted to walk off the injury along the Broncos’ bench, but quickly traded his helmet for a stocking cap.
On the next defensive series, Bailey was replaced at his customary spot by rookie Perrish Cox.
