FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots have already set several marks for fewest turnovers committed, and are on track to set more.
The lack of turnovers has been a key to the team’s 12-2 season, the best record in the NFL, and the Patriots are planning on more of the same Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. A win would clinch the AFC East title and the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs.
Among the streaks and records, the Patriots have gone six straight games without a giveaway; no other NFL team has gone longer than four straight games without a turnover.
The Patriots’ 2010 turnover differential is plus-20, ahead of the team record for turnover margin in a season, plus-17, set in 2003.
