DENVER (AP) -The Denver Broncos planned to go without a fullback for the second straight week with Spencer Larsen and Andrew Pinnock both inactive for Sunday’s game against Buffalo.
Larsen has been hampered by a groin injury but was expected to be activated against the Bills. Last week at Carolina, coach Mike Shanahan explained that he had to deactivate Pinnock with Larsen sidelined because he needed two fullbacks in case the starter got hurt. Otherwise, much of the game plan would be moot.
Champ Bailey was active for the first time in two months. He’s been out since tearing his groin against New England on Oct. 20. Rookie left tackle Ryan Clady (ankle) and right guard Chris Kuper (fractured finger) were also active.
The Bills replaced left tackle Jason Peters (knee) with Kirk Chambers.
