GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – The status of quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains unclear, one day after the Green Bay Packers’ tough loss at New England.
Rodgers sat out Sunday night’s game a week after sustaining his second concussion of the season. Packers coach Mike McCarthy says he will have more information on Rodgers’ availability on Wednesday.
Backup Matt Flynn played well in Rodgers’ place and nearly rallied the Packers late in the fourth quarter, only to take a sack on the final play. Flynn credited Rodgers with helping him out on the sideline during his first career start.
The Packers still have a shot at the playoffs. Wins in their final two games would virtually guarantee them a playoff spot. First up is a visit from the New York Giants next Sunday.
