FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has practiced for the second straight day, but coach Rex Ryan remains undecided on his starter for the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Sanchez, recovering from a sprained right knee, took 75 percent of the snaps in practice Thursday. Ryan said the rookie quarterback had no swelling or stiffness in the knee and was a full participant in practice after being limited Wednesday.
Ryan is optimistic about Sanchez’s chances of playing Sunday, but wants to hold off on a decision until he’s 100 percent sure. He added that Sanchez “looked much better.”
Sanchez missed the Jets’ 26-3 victory last Sunday at Tampa Bay after spraining the posterior cruciate ligament against Buffalo on Dec. 3.
