NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Miami Dolphins by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
---
MIAMI DOLPHINS (23)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 27) - Played Patriots and 49ers tough.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 22) - They face key decisions on several players, including Reggie Bush.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 20)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 19) - Tannehill needs to pick up the pace as the passing game continues to hold them back, just no explosive plays and only eight TDs.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 21) - Dolphins just not in 49ers' league. Home game against Jacksonville on Sunday more their speed.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 23) - The Dolphins are in dire need of a big-play receiver to accelerate the development of Ryan Tannehill as a quarterback. Look for the Dolphins to go wideout in the first round next April.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 22) - Maybe the Dolphins should hire Ozzie Guillen to liven up things.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 22) - In the Year of the Rookie Quarterback, Ryan Tannehill is but an afterthought.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 24) - The Dolphins defense is solid and the offense is a work in progress. A good draft and a few key free agents in the off season and this team will be competitive next year.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 21) - The Dolphins have had a tough couple of weeks against some of the class of the league (Patriots and 49ers).
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 25) - Miami's offense continues to regress with a 27-13 loss to San Francisco marking the eighth time the Dolphins failed to gain 300 yards.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 23) - Bad news: they have dropped five of six. Good news: up next are the Jags and Bills at home.
