NEW YORK (AP) – Comments on the Miami Dolphins by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
MIAMI DOLPHINS (27)
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 22): Drab offense continues to torment Dolphins fans.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 24): Not enough playmakers on roster to consider Dolphins contenders this year. Averaged eight wins a season over last four years, but numbers have been on decline since 2008.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 25): Not sure where the points are going to come on offense.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 26): QBs and receivers are questions, defense solid.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 27): Dolphins hope Ryan Tannehill is their future, but present is about rebuilding.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 27): WR and QB concerns. Tough first year for new head coach Joe Philbin.
Chris Berman (ESPN, 28): New school of fish.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 28): I like new head coach Joe Philbin and QB Ryan Tannehill, but not this year.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 30): Dolphins drafted QB Ryan Tannehill in first round, but traded away best receiver (Brandon Marshall). Where’s the blueprint?
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 31): Real “Hard Knocks” will be taking place every Sunday when hapless Dolphins take field.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 32): Only question is when Ryan Tannehill takes over as starter. There’s no question Miami will struggle before and after he plays.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32): :May take some time for new coach Joe Philbin to get this ship turned around.
