BALTIMORE (AP) -A judge has granted a protective order barring Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs from contact with the mother of his two children.
Suggs agreed to the protective order and did not admit any wrongdoing.
Baltimore District Judge Theodore Oshrine did not rule on the merits of a claim by Candace Williams that Suggs abused her. Suggs and Williams, who are not married, agreed to share custody of their two young children, and Suggs agreed to pay Williams $35,000 a month in child support.
Williams has filed a $70 million lawsuit against Suggs. Warren Alperstein, one of Suggs’ attorneys, said Suggs did not abuse Williams but that she kicked and punched him.
