MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Minnesota Vikings left guard Steve Hutchinson has been deactivated for the game against Buffalo, ending a streak of 123 straight regular season starts.
Receiver Percy Harvin was also inactive with migraine headaches, the second time in his career he has missed a game with headaches. But running back Adrian Peterson was active despite a sprained right ankle that caused him to miss most of the final three quarters against Washington last week.
Hutchinson broke his right thumb against the Redskins. He had started every game since the 2003 season opener with Seattle. He had started 131 in a row including the playoffs.
Rookie Chris DeGeare got the first start of his career for Hutchinson and Brian Robison started at defensive end for Ray Edwards, who was out with a high ankle sprain.
