FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -Atlanta Falcons right tackle Todd Weiner is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The team placed the 10-year veteran on injured reserve Thursday.
Weiner, who played in seven games, is the third starting tackle to face season-ending knee surgery. The Falcons (3-8) now have 12 players on injured reserve.
Starting left tackle Wayne Gandy was lost for the season in a Week 5 loss at Tennessee. Renardo Foster, an undrafted rookie free agent, started just two games in Gandy's place before his season ended.
Tyson Clabo and D'Anthony Batiste, two former undrafted free agents, will start at tackle when Atlanta visits St. Louis (2-9) on Sunday.
Weiner has started 85 games in six seasons with Atlanta. Gandy, a second-year Falcon in his 14th NFL season, made 94 straight starts and appeared in 205 career games.
