EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell thinks he’ll have more freedom under interim coach Leslie Frazier.
Of course, he’s not revealing any changes he might make to the offense.
Speaking with reporters for the first time since the Vikings fired coach Brad Childress on Monday, Bevell said Friday he’s kept Frazier informed about the game plan this week. However, Bevell said he doesn’t think Frazier, who was promoted from defensive coordinator, is “going to veto anything” as the team prepares for Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.
After ranking fifth in total offense and second in scoring in 2009, the Vikings have plummeted to 18th in yards (336.8 per game) and a tie for 29th in scoring (17.2).
