SAN DIEGO (AP) -The San Diego Chargers say wide receiver Patrick Crayton has had surgery on his left wrist.
The team hasn’t given a timetable for when or if Crayton will return this season, or any details of Wednesday’s surgery.
Crayton was hurt while falling into the end zone at the end of a 40-yard catch-and-run Monday night in the Chargers’ 35-14 win over the Denver Broncos. The Chargers (5-5) visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night.
Also, star tight end Antonio Gates says he’d like to try to practice this week to see if his torn right plantar fascia has healed enough to allow him to play Sunday. Gates has missed two straight games and says the injury is still painful.
