MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Brett Favre has been at his best for the Minnesota Vikings, with 21 touchdown passes and only three interceptions in the first 10 games.
The 40-year-old Favre kept up his torrid pace in Sunday’s win over Seattle that stretched Minnesota’s record to 9-1. He completed a career-high 88 percent of his passes and found the end zone four times.
All the tight ends, wide receivers and running backs have praised Favre’s ability to read the defense, put the ball in the right place and change the play at the line if necessary. Favre has been quick to credit those pass catchers, too, for their progress in learning the offense.
Vikings coach Brad Childress says the receivers are beating man-to-man coverage more often than in recent years.
