ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Washington Redskins running back Ladell Betts, the fill-in for injured Clinton Portis, has been knocked out of the Dallas game because of a left knee injury.
Betts apparently got hurt on a hard tackle by Bradie James at the end of a 2-yard gain midway through the first quarter Sunday. Team trainers checked Betts’ knee on the sideline, and a few minutes later it was announced he was out for the game. The extent of the injury wasn’t immediately known.
Cornerback DeAngelo Hall sustained a bruised right knee earlier in the game when he was tackled after returning a recovered fumble. He went to the locker room and his return was questionable.
Betts was starting for Portis, who missed his second straight game because of a concussion.
