EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -New York Jets right tackle Damien Woody has left the team’s game against the Houston Texans with a knee injury.
Woody stayed down on the turf for a few minutes in the first quarter Sunday after an incompletion by Mark Sanchez. Woody gingerly walked off the field on his own, and was examined by trainers on the sideline. He was riding a stationary bike in the second quarter.
He is being replaced by Wayne Hunter. The Jets say Woody’s return is questionable.
He remains on the sideline at the of start the second half.
