He was four yards shy of his sixth 300-yard game this season in Denver’s blowout of Kansas City. … Chargers are coming off bye. They hope to get back WRs Legedu Naanee and Malcom Floyd, who have missed four and three games, respectively, with hamstring injuries. However, TE Antonio Gates might miss second straight game with torn plantar fascia in right foot. … Chargers also hope to get back K Nate Kaeding, out for three games with groin injury. … After anchoring San Diego’s defensive line for more than a decade, tackle Jamal Williams was released last offseason and signed with Broncos. He’ll be trying to help stuff Chargers running attack that’s seen mixed contributions from rookie Ryan Mathews, who’s been slowed by high ankle sprain and case of fumbleitis. Mathews as lost three fumbles this season. … Broncos rookie QB Tim Tebow threw first NFL pass, 3-yard touchdown to fullback Spencer Larsen against Kansas City, and added a 1-yard touchdown run, his third score on ground this year. Tebow has accounted for four touchdowns this season on just 13 offensive touches to lead NFL in TD percentage (30.8). … Chargers have had numerous special teams meltdowns this year, and if they need any more reminding, Eddie Royal is coming back to town. In Denver’s last game at San Diego, also on a Monday night, Royal became 11th player in NFL history, and second Broncos player (Al Frazier, 1961), to return punt and kickoff for TDs in same game, leading Broncos to 34-23 win.
