KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Tony Gonzalez hobbled off the field in the third quarter Sunday of Kansas City's game against New Orleans, but returned a short time later.
The Chiefs said Gonzalez, 32, who holds NFL tight end records for touchdowns, catches and yards receiving, had an ankle sprain. He came back in after New Orleans scored to take a 27-13 lead late in the third period.
