DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -Chad Pennington’s latest shoulder injury has ended his season, but Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano says Chad Henne might be available for Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.
The Dolphins signed veteran Patrick Ramsey on Monday and placed Pennington on reserve-injured. On his first play of the season Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, Pennington re-injured his right shoulder, which has already undergone surgery three times.
Third-string quarterback Tyler Thigpen is the most likely starter against the Bears after finishing the win over Tennessee. Henne was sidelined in the third quarter by a left knee injury.
Ramsey, an eight-year veteran, last played in 2008 with Denver and was most recently with Jacksonville this season.
