NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White sat out practice Friday because of a toe problem, but coach Jeff Fisher said he should be available for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Without White and Chris Brown, who has missed the past two games with a high left ankle sprain, the Titans were using rookie Chris Henry and second-year pro Quinton Ganther to take Friday’s practice reps.
“We just gave him the day off. His toe is a little sore,” Fisher said of White. “It’s nothing serious, nothing that should affect him on Sunday.”
White has posted consecutive 100-yard rushing games, including a 133-yard performance last Sunday against Oakland.
Brown did only limited work Wednesday and did not practice Thursday or Friday.
Henry, a second-round pick out of Arizona, carried four times for 48 yards as the backup last week, including a 24-yard touchdown run.
“I feel different now than I did in the preseason. I just came in and relaxed and ran,” said Henry, who has 105 yards rushing the past two week after being inactive the first five games. “I wouldn’t say I was even hesitant. I think I was more getting the feel for running with the new offensive line at game speed. Now I just let it go and go out and play.”
Also Friday, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth practiced after sitting out two days because of a sore left ankle, and defensive end Antwan Odom was excused for personal reasons.
