MIAMI (AP) -New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis was forced from Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins because of a sprained right knee, and he’ll undergo tests Monday.
Ellis was hurt late in the second quarter and helped off the field.
“I’ve been putting pressure on it and trying to walk on it a little bit,” he said after the game. “We’ll have to see Monday.”
The Saints are already without starting nose tackle Kendrick Clancy, who hasn’t played since the first game because of a right knee injury.
Fullback Heath Evans hurt his right leg late in the game.
