EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota receiver Sidney Rice is finally starting to fulfill the potential the Vikings saw when they made him a second-round pick three years ago.
Rice is coming off a career game on Sunday against the Ravens. He had six catches for 176 yards, including a 58-yarder late in the fourth quarter that set up the game-winning field goal.
Rice leads the Vikings with 23 receptions and 409 yards receiving.
He says the key has been confidence. Rice trained with Arizona All-Pro Larry Fitzgerald and several other NFL receivers over the summer, and he says it gave him the confidence he needed to excel.
The undefeated Vikings play at Pittsburgh on Sunday.
