ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -Bills wide receiver Peerless Price was placed on injured reserve Friday, the ninth Buffalo player this season.
He had surgery to repair a disc in his neck two weeks ago.
The Bills also released third-string quarterback Craig Nall for the second time. Nall first was let go just before the season began but was re-signed after quarterback J.P. Losman was injured in Week 3 against New England.
To replace Price and Nall on the 53-man roster, Buffalo signed receiver Justin Jenkins and quarterback Gibran Hamdan off its practice squad.
The Bills were down to just three healthy receivers – Lee Evans, Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish – for their upcoming game against Baltimore on Sunday. Fourth receiver and special teams ace Sam Aiken didn’t practice all week because of a hamstring injury. He’ll likely miss the Ravens game.
Jenkins has spent the season on the Bills’ practice squad. Originally signed by Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent in 2004, Jenkins likely will replace Aiken on the special teams unit.
Hamden has spent the last three weeks on Buffalo’s practice squad. He has bounced around the NFL since being drafted in the seventh round by Washington in 2003. Most recently, he was released by Miami before this season.
